ACG was founded in 1984 as a used computer retail establishment with the name of Al's Used Computers. The company developed a cult following by serving a niche in the marketplace that was brand new and very much needed. Allyn Conway, our owner and president, joined the company in 1986 as a minor partner, and was by the way, the first and only "Al" ever associated with the organization. Immediately Allyn realized the value of expanding the company's marketing and services to include business customers' needs. In 1989 he became a major partner, rewrote the business plan and changed the company's name to Al's New and Used Computers. At the same time Allyn added Accounting and HRIS software solutions to the Company's mix of services. Shortly after Allyn shortened the Company name to Al's Computer Group. In 1992 Allyn purchased the remaining stock in the Company and changed the company name to what it is today ACG, Incorporated.
Over the past ten year of operations ACG has become a leader in leading edge technology. Our organization has consistently been a Top Ten reseller of the BEST HRIS software as well as maintained a Presidential Level with BEST MAS 90/200 Accounting Software. In addition, we have continued to maintain our leadership position in the Dayton, Ohio area with Citrix, CISCO, NT, & Microsoft Solutions.
